Type
Individual Research, Academic Work
This condition assessment was independently developed by Kaylee for the UT School of Architecture’s 'Conservation: Lab Methods' course, taught by Dr. Racheal Lute. The project involved several days of on-site fieldwork to document the Littlefield House’s character-defining features and assess the exterior condition of each façade. Using pre-prepared elevation drawings and a conditions key, Kaylee conducted a detailed, façade-by-façade evaluation.
The final document includes historical research on the site, identification of character-defining features, and a custom conditions glossary informed by professional references such as the ICOMOS Illustrated Glossary on Stone Deterioration Patterns. It also contains written descriptions of each façade's condition, ranked on a scale from good to fair to poor, along with cleaned field notes and annotated elevation drawings keyed to specific conditions.
